Yoga Classes Offered...
Ayurvedic Flow: When we learn to flow with
nature, we feel better, more centered and clear minded! Ayurvedic Flow is a vinyasa class sequenced to help balanced the elements within the body (air, ether, fire, water and earth). Spiritual Readings, Pranayama (breath), Mudras (energy gestures that seal energy) and Mantras (repetition of sacred words or phrases) are also used to balance the energies. This class will deepen the students awareness of natures patterns and cycles. As Yogi Bhajan said, “It is our birth right to be happy and free!”
Flow 1: Students will be introduced to the basic principles of a Vinyasa or Flow style asana practice. Emphasis will be on healthy alignment and breath. Students will also be introduced to basic yogic philosophy and meditation.
*beginners & adv. beginners
Flow 1-2: This class will combine elements of Flow 1 & Flow 2. Modifications will be given to accommodate both advanced beginners and experienced practitioner.
*adv. beginners & intermediate students
Flow 2: Our Level 2 class is an intermediate Vinyasa class which introduces the more challenging poses and Pranayama (yogic breathing). Students will gain strength as well as build stamina, developing grace and flexibility.

Gentle Flow: Learn how to let your mind drop into your breath! This class will combine a peaceful flow of postures with simple, yet powerful, breath techniques. Together they will balance the energies of the mind and body, leaving you in a perfect state for a restful nights sleep. This class is perfect for anyone who is feeling stressed, anxious or over extended.
*open to all levels, great for beginners
Lunar Flow: Attune your mind and body later in the evening with this slower paced vinyasa yoga class. The first half of class will move through flowing asana's, focusing on the breath and proper alignment, leading to a more restorative practice towards the end, helping to bring the mind and body into a much more relaxed and restful place. This class is particularly good for lowering stress levels, creating balance in the mind and body and supporting relaxation at the end of the day.
*This class is open to all levels.
Yin Yoga: Complement your flow practice with the quiet postures of Yin Yoga. Many popular forms of yoga such as Ashtanga or Power Yoga are Yang in nature, emphasizing rhythmic movement and muscle contraction. Yin Yoga takes a posture or shape, relaxes into that shape, then holds it for time (3-5 minutes for beginners). Yin practice focuses on the bones and joints, gently stimulating and softening the more inelastic and hidden connective tissue − known as fascia −which is found everywhere in the body. Fascia forms a mechanical continuum (meridians) that sends bioelectric signals throughout the system. Every muscle cell depends on fascia for support which provides structural in-tegrity for the entire body.
Karuna Shala yin yoga includes centering, breath work, a brief warm-up of the body, then moves into sustained long-held poses, taking the time needed to stretch these denser connective tissues. As fresh blood and oxygen flushes and loosens the joints, explore your interior landscape. Where your attention goes, prana flows.
*open to all levels
Yoga for Women's Health: This class will focus on practicing yoga specifically for the needs of women. Healing therapeutic and restorative poses will be incorporated as well as strengthening and energizing poses that will help us to better address menstruation, menopause, pelvic floor issues, and basic back care. All in a safe and supportive environment. Pranayama (the yoga of breath) and meditation will also be introduced allowing us to care for body, mind, and spirit.

You will find new ways of relating to your organs, cells, glands and bones; prana, doshas and dhatus; heart, mind and Self. No previous experience is required other than a willingness to dive deeply into self-inquiry. A healthy dose of humor is always welcomed.
